Although Gateway Services receives most of our funding through the State of Illinois, we rely on the support of our loyal donors to provide essential services.  In order to ensure that we are able to provide our programs, we host several fundraisers.

​

Our longest running fundraiser, Phone-A-Thon, continues to be our most successful event.  Phone-A-Thon is similar to a telethon where volunteers call past supporters for pledges.

​

In the winter months, we hold "Trivia Night" in Henry.  This consists of 10 rounds of random trivia questions with 10 questions per round.  Teams compete to prove they are the smartest!  In addition to the trivia, there is a meal, silent auction, raffle, 50/50, and door prizes.  The top 3 teams win cash prizes.

"Egg My Yard" has been a popular event!  We all know the Easter Bunny is incredibly busy, so why not let our bunnies do the work?!  During the late evening hours on Easter Eve, we deliver treat-filled eggs and scatter them at the delivery destination in time for Easter morning fun.

​

Our Rip's Chicken Fundraiser has become an an annual event.  In addition to the world-famous chicken, diners are able to buy raffle tickets for donated baskets, 50/50 tickets for a cash prize, and many baked goods.

​

Our online silent auction has quickly gained popularity.  Items that have generously been donated by area businesses and friends of Gateway are up for grabs on our Facebook page.  Interested people then bid on the items throughout the week up until the frantic deadline.
